Lowercase Brewing
The folks at Lowercase Brewing have been long time friends in the beer industry, so it was an honor to be hired to produce content for them. For their 5th Anniversary, I produced a short film sharing their story, along with the special beer they were brewing to celebrate, a Steinbier. By super heating rocks and adding them to the beer, you get a caramelization and mineralization effect that takes on a life of it’s own. It’s also scary to be around rocks that hot!
The second project I worked on with them was to promote their new Classic Lager, Douglas. To tell the story of a beer that is taking on other brands that are steeped in history was a challenge. The branding was created by Brian Bosworth and Ramon Vasquez, along with a rough story outline. I came on to flesh out the full script, film additional content (while using some from my initial video with Lowercase), and … be Voiceover talent?
The resulting video was used to launch the brand and promote their Kickstarter rollout. By using Kickstarter as a marketing tool, they were able to hype the beer up and help target key accounts to roll it out into. Getting the brand in front of people while the beer hits the market is the perfect storm for success!
